Jorge Montero Pochet

Graduated in Economic Sciences from the University of Costa Rica, with emphasis on finance, banking, accounting, and economy. Jorge Obando Sánchez

He has a wide experience on an international and national level as a professional in law. He worked for more than twenty-five years with the United Nations via American consulting enterprises and with the government of the United States of America as director for projects regarding the administrative reform of justice and legal reforms for eighteen Latinamerican countries. On a national level, he has experience in the professional direction of legal processes in constitutional, family and commercial matter. On an international level, he also has experience in litigation before the Inter-American human rights system and other alternative procedures of dispute resolution. He owns the authorship, co-authorship, and direction of twelve works on judicial reform, guardianship of human rights, improvement of public safety, as well as a large number of newspaper articles. Gastón Ullet

He finalized the Doctorate in Commercial Law from the University Escuela Libre de Derecho, specialized studies on Commercial Law and Public Finance from Universidad Complutense de. He finished his studies on banking administration in the Faculty of Economics of the University of Costa Rica. Professor of commercial, banking and stock market law on the Ulacit’s master courses of Commercial Law. Litigator and international consultant on commercial and banking law. Fernando Vargas Zeledón

Law Degree from the Free School of Law of the Autonomous University of Central America and Public Notary, with studies in Chemistry, computer science and the English language.

 

His training and professional practice has been in the criminal area, starting as Public Prosecutor for many years in different areas of the country and with a large number of courses related to crime scene management, forensic laboratories, forensic medical research, management of evidence, interrogation, handling of police personnel, drugs, homicides, traffic accidents, frauds and others. His specialty is the Criminal Trial and the preparation and investigation of the case, for which he has had extensive experience in high profile issues and complexity of the trial, including directing legal teams in countries such as the United States, Panama and Guatemala.

Carlos Jacobo Zelaya

Graduated professional in Law by the Autonomous University of Central America, Public Notary. He has a Postgraduate degree in Criminal Sciences from the University of Costa Rica. Master of Fiscal and Enterprise Law from the Universidad para la Cooperación Internacional, UCI (University of International Cooperation). He has worked as an advisor for enterprises in the following law matters:  Cooperative, Commercial, Civil, Labor, Fiscal, Administrative and Penal; looking for practical solutions regarding time and money to the enterprises with a vision focused on the legal and corporate field, advising their management boards or governing bodies.

Generally, he works in the litigation, civil, labor, commercial and dispute matters fields with an emphasis on fiscal law.  He also performs common duties of a notary and judicial collection.

 

Stephanie Chandler Villalobos

Law Graduate. She has studies on workplace safety and health from the Pontifical Xavierian University of Bogotá. She has a diploma on Human Rights given by the University for Peace and the Heidelberg University. She pursued and begun studies for her preparation on the “Experto Internacional en Litigación Oral en Procesos Civiles y Comerciales”  (International Expertise in Oral Litigation for Civil and Commercial Processes) from the CIE and the University of Granada.

She has more than 9 years of experience as a litigation lawyer in labor and constitutional matters. She has had more than 2000 litigation processes in charge related to these matters throughout her professional career. She has a wide experience in work compliance regulation, risk and litigation prevention. She has worked more than 8 years for Costa Rica’s Social Security Fund, where she performed as a lawyer in the judicial management area of the Legal Direction Department, taking care of business regarding constitutional matters related to the executive presidency and medic management of this institution.  Prominent academic participations: Legal subject exhibitor before the World Bank, member of legal consultation in human and labor rights subjects, training to health care professionals and lawyers involved with the legal network of the CCSS, part of the Patronal Impugnation Commission, among others. She has participated in tens of courses, seminars, and congresses that have allowed her to maintain her knowledge updated and current on the new trends related to labor law.

Henry Angulo Yu

Law graduate, he engaged in bachelor’s studies in law and has a degree from the University of Costa Rica, graduating with an emphasis on forensic science. He reads, talks and writes in English and Spanish, he also speaks Chinese and Mandarin. He has had a special interest in health law, economic criminal and Computing Law, civil liability. He works on criminal law and civil liability field with Dr. Juan Marcos Rivero Sánchez.

Milo Yang

Graduate in law, he studied in the University of Costa Rica, graduating with an emphasis in tax law.  He reads, speaks and writes in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Mandarin, and speaks Taiwanese. He has worked in several courts of the country, as well as international entities.

Miguel Ángel García Martínez

Julián Solano

Ex- Fiscal del Ministerio Público en años años 1984 a 1985. Abogado Litigante en materia civil, penal y derecho médico desde agosto de 1986. Profesor Derecho Privado, Civil y Procesal Civil en la Universidad de Costa Rica desde julio de 1984. También ha impartido cursos de derecho civil e internacional en la Escuela Libre de Derecho y la U la salle. Douglas Ruiz

Law degree from the Free University of Law since 1996, specialized in tax and commercial law. He worked as a mixed judge, family and contentious from 1998 to 2002 in the Judicial Branch of Costa Rica. Prof. Dr. Javier Tamayo Jaramillo

 

Javier Tamayo Jaramillo is a Colombian jurist, born in Evigado (Antioquía) in 1946. He studied Law in the Pontifical Bolivarian University of Medellin,  where he was the director of the Law Research Institute of the same faculty. He pursued a Master’s degree on economy and law of insurances at the University of Lovain (Belgium) and was given the Honoris Causa Doctorate by the University of San Marcos (Perú). He was a magistrate of the Civil Supreme Court of Justice between the years 1994 and 1995. He resigned to this magistrate position and now works as a lawyer. He has been a referee of the Arbitration Center of the Bogota’s and Medellin´s Chamber of Commerce. He is part of the Association Henri Capitant des amis de la culture juridique francaise’s Colombian chapter, he is a member of the Colombian Association of Loan Rights, Colombian chapter of the AIDA (Asociation International de Droit des Assurances) and founding member of the Antiochian Institute of Civil and State Responsibility.

 

 

Prof. Dr. Alexander Godínez Vargas

 

Law graduate from the University of Costa Rica, Ph.D. on Law in the Department of Work Law and Social Safety of The Complutense University of Madrid, emphasis on Latin American experts in Labor Relations. He was given a degree by the Formation Study Center of the OIT in Turin (Italy), the University of Bologna (Italy) and the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain). September 2004. Postgraduate course on Constitutional Law. Given by the University of Salamanca (Spain). January 2006. Specialization course for Latin American Experts in Labor Relations. Given by the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain). September 2009.  He has participated in the publishing of books, work documents, support materials to professional formation programs, magazine articles, collective works. Internet publications and others.  Winner of the “Alberto Brenes Córdoba” of the Costa Rican Lawyer’s College to best legal work of 1998. Doctor Godínez has participated as a professor in courses organized exclusively by the Judicial School of the Costa Rican Supreme Court of Justice. Eduardo Vargas Vargas

 

Authorized Public Accountant, DAN in Business Administration, expert consultant on economic and tax felony, with professional experience as an operational, financial and forensic auditor. He worked an approximate of 18 years as a judicial officer, where he made multiple audits focused on the efficiency and effectiveness of multiple operational units and different notorious studies on the investigation and judicial forensic audit area.  He is an incorporated member of the Costa Rican Private Accountants College (1988) and the Costa Rican Public Accountants College (1992), he is also a facilitator of the Public Accountants College on this subject and a national and international consultant in the area. Forensic Audit is the specialty that draws the difference, since there are few professionals that work in this area, which conjugates the acquired experience on the activities executed by the Economic and Financial Felony Section of  the Organismo de Investigación Judicial (Judicial Investigation Organism), the one generated on the Judiciary, their different work positions and the acquired in the private practice constitutes another 50%. The professional Vargas Vargas has issued over 580 reports, opinions and criteria with a 100% of effectiveness, where there are cases with a large complexity, on which the capacity of response and evidence validation is an essential element of his work.
